This is as of about 8:00am on 6/25/11. We wil post more as things change and we are able. We have spent the morning today getting the last of the calves out of the barn and moving all of Trevor's chicks that he sells as "meat birds" to higher ground. It's been busy, needless to say.
WOW! This is terrible! I wish we were there to help you guys. Praying for you all.
ReplyDeletewow. Do you have places to keep all your animals safe and dry? Any water in the basement yet? I assume not since you didn't post a pic.
ReplyDeleteSid and Twyla went to the Sips? What is that?
We are still praying and hoping this is done getting worse. Praying it starts going down quickly.
Donna
Donna, We are renting a pasture from Kevin Forbes' son, Ethan, since ours is all under water. We are fighting the sewer in the basement. Bob put plugs in and has two pumps in the septic outside trying to keep up. So far it is ok, but we are using the outhouse we rented and as little water as possible.
ReplyDeleteThe Sips are a family in MN that host a campout at their farm each year. We went last year and it was a lot of fun! We would have gone this year, but needed to be here to fight the battle.
The river is supposed to crest tomorrow. We pray that it is lower than expected.
