Soffit and interior walls

All of the soffit is done now! As is the house wrap. The new siding, windows, and sliding glass doors are to be delivered on Monday!

This will be Bob's closet, with an angled door.

My closet is on the right. The window will go away 😊. The wall between our closets is straight ahead (just to the right of the yellow level in the pic). From here they are each 9' deep and about 5'6"-6' wide.

And this is the bathroom wall. This is also an angled door that we are looking into here. The small window will be above the toilet, which will be in its own little 3'x5' room with a door.

This happened today!

They are temporary, by we have stairs on which to get into the new basement. Prior to this, we had to go in through a basement window with a ladder inside, or kneel down at the edge of this hole and climb onto a ladder that was standing there. Neither of these methods made me very comfortable AT ALL! So I am extremely happy to have the stairs!

Here they are building a wall. In the background is the opening for our sliding glass door that will go out to a small balcony/patio (I say this because it would be a balcony, but it really isn't that far off the ground; maybe 5 feet or so).

Then they built these two walls. That little space they are standing in is the sitting area in our bedroom! I can't wait to sit and have my coffee and devotions there!!!

The latest!

On Thursday, June 18, the Hughes guys, along with their friend Chase, came over and helped a TON with floor joists and sheeting the floor!

Friday, June 19, we attended a beautiful wedding!

The basement with all the floor sheeted above. Bob and the Hughes were making such good progress that they forgot to make that hole for the stairs, so Bob had to cut it out the next day! 😃

Tucker doing some back-filling. I'm pretty sure he wasn't having any fun at all. 😉

Bob building the first wall for the main floor.

Tuesday, the 23rd, Tanner talked Bob into getting the pool set up. We are supposed to have some really warm days in this next week. It will be great to have the pool to cool off in.

The first wall is stood!

Tucker working hard on the section section of wall.

And this is where we are today. It rained again last night, so there is quite a bit of mud around the work area. Bob decided to run errands in town this morning instead of work in the muck. And it's supposed to rain more this afternoon too, so it may stay looking like this for a couple of days now.

The goings-on here today

We have several things happening here today. The weather is beautiful and we are enjoying it! Here are a few pics:

Carrie mastered riding a bike!

Bob just can't sit still, so while the concrete is curing in the basement of the addition, he decided to go for Dad of the Year and build the littles a playhouse. It's turning out very nice!

Of course there is some dirt bike riding happening!

Grandpa is doing some painting around the place to help keep the buildings up.

I got a new haircut! (I have never been photogenic, and apparently selfies are no different!)

And finally, some rides behind our "new" tractor: a 1953 Ford NAA.

Basement walls poured

Thankfully, we were planning to remove our fence anyway as it had to come down for the pumper truck to get close enough and out from under some wires. Thanks to Kaylon Faul and Joshua Hughes for the help! Here is a little video of the fence removal and pics of the work:

Well, I wanted to share a video, but maybe Blogger won't let me. If I figure it out, I will share later. For now, here are a few pics:
